Siblings are great medicine

At 6 there was not much I could do when my sister got diagnosed with cancer. I was not old enough to even really understand what cancer was. All I knew was the my best friend was sick and needed me. So I did what I could. I held her hand when she was scared. I cuddled her when she was sad. I played with her when she needed distraction. 

I tried to be brave but I was scared every day that she would not come home. I still get scared some days when she gets sick but I will always be her biggest supporter. 

Now that Maddison is stronger and we are older, we Relay for those who are still fighting, those who have passed and those who have survived.
