My Walk against Cancer!
Hi! I’m Leah, and this year I'm partaking in Relay for Life to support of my family and other families affected by cancer. My family has been widely affected by cancer in different ways.
Last year My family unfortunately lost my nan to a long battle with stage 4 cancer. I am supporting this cause as it directly affects my family, and no one should have to go through the long walk that is cancer. Being told the news that someone you love has cancer is heartbreaking.
Hearing the words “you have cancer” is heartbreaking. In 2024, more than 150, 000 Australians will receive the news. Among them are our friends, families and colleagues.
Knowing a loved one has cancer is scary, and the future is uncertain, especially if you catch it too late. I was fortunate enough to have two more years predicted with my nan, but that’s not always the case for everyone.
Some treatments for different kinds of cancers are limited. Cancer is a deadly disease that can take the life of a loved one you know so quickly.
I would really appreciate it if you could donate a little money in support of this cause to help with this long battle against cancer! A little money can go a long way with this great cause!
Again, I hope that with your support, we can make others' journeys with cancer a little easier!
