I'm stepping up against cancer!

This year, I am taking part in the Hills 2024 Relay for life to raise awareness for cancer and raise funds for cancer support and awareness. Cancer is never an easy thing... For me, the word cancer brings about frustration and extreme sadness (as it does for many others). 

It has personally touched me with many of my close relatives and family friends being diagnosed with different types of cancers. Cancer takes away an opportunity of life like no other.. it has taken away and robbed those who I love of so many experiences and their quality of life is no longer how it previously was. 

I am doing this in honour of them, those that are living with cancer, surviving cancer and for those who weren't so lucky. Especially for Velice and Nadine who fought to the very end.
