My Updates
In loving memory of my mother
Cancer doesn’t discriminate.
It doesn’t care how old you are, what plans you have, or how loved you are. It reaches into families, friendships, workplaces, and quietly changes lives forever.
I was only in Year 7 when my mum was diagnosed with breast cancer. At an age where life should have been about school, friends, and growing up, cancer became part of our everyday reality. My mum faced her diagnosis with strength that still amazes me. She went through so much — endless appointments, treatments, and rounds of chemotherapy — and she fought with everything she had.
Watching someone you love battle cancer is something I wouldn’t wish on anyone. It’s exhausting, heartbreaking, and terrifying, but it also shows you just how strong a person can be.
Sadly, on the 22nd of August 2018, my mum lost her battle with cancer and took her last breath. Not a day goes by that she isn’t missed. She was — and always will be — my biggest inspiration.
Relay For Life is deeply personal to me. I walk to honour my mum, to remember her strength, and to stand beside every person who has been affected by cancer — the fighters, the survivors, and the families who carry on after loss.
Every donation, every share, and every bit of support helps fund vital research, support services, and hope for a future where fewer families have to experience this pain.
Thank you for helping me honour my mum and all those impacted by cancer. 💜

Go Eb!!! So proud of you and what you’re doing for your mum and this amazing cause
