I'm stepping up against cancer!
In July 2025 I discovered I had breast cancer, it wasn’t a big surprise I have been waiting for it I guess for a very long time. I had my first lump removed at 19, I have wanted a double mastectomy for years like my cousins got but unlike them I didn’t have a mutation of the BRCA gene so I was unable to have surgery. I want to let people know that breast cancer doesn't just show up as lumps my left nipple inverted and I went straight into having a mammogram and ultrasound followed quickly by a double biopsy and within 3.5 weeks I had a double mastectomy. This was a life saving choice as I had lots of precancerous cells in both breasts. I lost my sister over 13 years ago to breast cancer she fought hard for seven years, my mum is six years cancer free. I have lost a cousin, aunties, uncles, too many friends to cancer. I hit my cancer hard and I am ready for the fight. I urge as many as you as possible to please donate 🩷🌸
