Why I Relay
My connection with cancer is my mum. When I was in primary school my Mum was diagnosed with Stage 4 Breast Cancer. After a long battle with cancer consisting of five different surgeries, a round of radiotherapy, and 6 months of chemotherapy, my Mum was finally considered cancer-free. Now when I look back on it, I can’t believe all that she went through because she put such a brave face on for me and my brother. We have done Relay For Life together as a team for the last 10 years and as part of the committee for the last 6 years.
