💜 Why We're Walking. Why We're Fundraising. 💜
This year, the Hope Loan Arrangers a team of 14 colleagues from the mortgage broking industry, will be taking part in the Cancer Council's Relay For Life.
Our reason is deeply personal.
In December 2025, we lost our dear colleague and friend, Dionne Lee, after a very short but incredibly courageous battle with cancer. Her passing left a hole in our team and in the hearts of everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
Dionne was someone who brought warmth, laughter, kindness and strength to every room she walked into. She touched so many lives, and not a day goes by that she isn't remembered.
This Relay For Life holds even greater significance because Dionne's 50th birthday would have been just three days before the event.
So, we are walking in her honour.
We are walking for the memories, the conversations, the friendship, and the many moments we wish we'd had more of.
We are walking for every family affected by cancer.
And we are fundraising to support the Cancer Council's vital work in research, prevention programs and support services, helping create a future where more people survive cancer and fewer families experience the heartbreak of losing someone they love.

Cancer impacts so many of us, and this year, we’re fighting back. Our team of Finance gurus are taking on Relay For Life to raise vital funds for people impacted by cancer.
In Australia, around 134,000 people are diagnosed with cancer every year. They could be our loved ones, our colleagues, or even ourselves. But we’re determined to make sure more people (and their families!) get the support they need.
To get there, our team are going the distance. We’re taking on the laps so Cancer Council can offer support services to families through one of the most difficult times of their lives.
