Event Information
Registration
All Beaconhills students, staff, parents and alumni are invited to take part.
We are asking all participants to please register, either as an individual or join/create a team.
Your $5.00 entrant fee will count towards your fundraising and go directly to supporting Cancer Council Victoria’s research, prevention, and support services.
Online registrations will remain open until the conclusion of the Relay.
Program
Relay for Life will take place across the school day as well as an after-school opportunity for our broader Beaconhills College Community to come along and participate - the more the merrier!
Students will be provided with an allocated timeslot to participate as per the program below. Please note that this schedule is subject to change and will be updated should any changes be required.

On the Day
What happens on the day?
Join us at the Pakenham or Berwick Campus on Friday 8 September from 7:30am - 5:30pm.
What to bring to Relay
Be sure to come to the Relay prepared! Check the forecast the night before and be prepared for potential inclement weather. Here’s a handy list of things to bring on the day:
- Hat, sunglasses, sunscreen and lip balm
- Your Relay for Life shirt
- Comfortable walking/running shoes
- Warm clothing (pants, jackets, beanies, gloves, etc.)
- Wet weather gear (raincoat, poncho, umbrella, etc.)
- A change of clothes
- Folding chairs and tables or picnic rug
- Team costumes
- Money and loose change
- Your team!
What not to bring
- Pets (guide dogs and service dogs are welcome)
- Bikes, scooters or roller blades/skates
- Glass
- Remember, Relay For Life is a smoke-free event.
Your Relay For Life organiser asks that you:
- Do not attend Relay For Life if you are feeling unwell.
- Use hand sanitiser prior to entering the event.
- Practice social distancing (of 1.5m) at all times while at the event and try to avoid interactions in close spaces.
- If you need to cough, please do so using your arm and if you are feeling unwell at any point during the event, please notify one of our staff members.
- We encourage you to carry a mask for whenever social distancing isn't possible.
- Do not share personal belongings (water bottle or towel).
Do students need to wear school uniform?
Yes, students are required to wear their full sports uniform throughout the day.
However, students are permitted to wear the official Relay for Life participant top and a touch of yellow and purple to show your support of this worthy cause.
Can my parents participate with me?
Yes, family members can participate with students but must first sign in at the registration tent and provide a current Working With Children Check.
How can I make a donation on the day?
Donations can be made at the event via cash or card at the registration tent.
Do I need to join a team to participate?
No, you can register as an individual with the option of forming a team if you wish.
