I want to make a difference and help get us closer to a cancer free future. Cancer is one of the leading causes of death in Australia, and together we can change that. Cancer Council’s Relay For Life raises funds for research, prevention and support services for those affected by cancer. By joining my team or donating to me, you will be helping Cancer Council give hope to thousands of Australians.

My Cancer Journey

Hello,

My C journey started back in November 2017. It was all found by accident. I was getting bad headaches and really struggling.

Dr checked me out and found that I had a lump on my thyroid.

From there it went into as most of you would know, lots of scans and blood tests back and forth to make sure. Had a biopsy which confirmed cancer. November 2017, had my whole thyroid removed.

A couple weeks later had another surgery to remove some lymph nodes in my neck. After I was all healed they sent me on my way to Adelaide to have radiation.

After that, more scans and blood test, to be told your sweet as girl, its all gone.

Jump to 2021, where the C started to creep back, more scans and bloods.

2022, had a few more scan and blood, which confirmed it.

This year I've had one surgery and scan, currently waiting to have more and possibly more treatment down in Adelaide.
