Gary 💙, Melanie🩷 and many others who

This year is the toughest by far as I am walking to honour my amazing husband  Gary and my dear friend Melanie.

I first starting doing Relay for Life a few years back not just for the cause but to catch up with my best friend Melanie from high school who was only on the coast a couple of times a year. So grateful to be welcomed with open arms from Melanies extended family, which I feel is now my extended family xx. We would walk the track  continuously from 3pm-10pm catching up on everything.

In 2021 my amazing husband Gary was diagnosed with two types of cancers . The fight was real in our home, we were determined to beat them.

Then in 2022, Melanie was diagnosed with two types of cancers. She had a tough fight ahead of her too, unfortunately Melanie past away on 10th September the same year. We miss you so much beautiful🩷. I attended Relay again the same year but it changed without Melanie and became even more emotional for me with Gary still fighting  so I stopped going.

My loving Gary, was still fighting his battle, which he did every single day for 3 years, 9 months. The unthinkable happened, Gary grew his angel wings on 21 February this year. Our entire world has shattered into a trillion pieces, we are conpletely lost without our Rock  💙💛
