Cancer is something that touches so many lives. Whether it’s a family member, a friend, a colleague, or someone in our wider community, almost everyone knows someone who has been affected by cancer. Behind every diagnosis is a person, a family, and a story, and that’s why we believe that coming together to make a difference is so important.
We are a group of college students coming together to raise money for the Cancer Council through Relay For Life. As young people, we want to show that you don’t have to be a certain age or have a huge amount of money to make a difference. Sometimes, all it takes is a group of people who care about the same cause and are willing to put in the effort to help.
Through our fundraising efforts, we’re hoping to contribute to the incredible work the Cancer Council does, including cancer research, prevention, education, and support for people affected by cancer. Every dollar raised helps contribute to a cause that impacts so many people, and we are determined to do everything we can to help.
For us, this is about more than just raising money. It’s about standing alongside those who are fighting cancer, remembering those we have lost, supporting the families and friends who walk alongside their loved ones, and helping create a future where fewer people have to experience the heartbreak that cancer can bring.
We know that not everyone is in a position to donate, and that’s completely okay. Every contribution, no matter how big or small, is appreciated more than you know. Even sharing our fundraising page with your friends and family can help us reach more people and spread awareness of this important cause.
