Running Wild

When we step together, we make strides.

Last year when we did the R4L, the recent passing of my stepdad was very raw. A year on we are tackling things in a different light. 

400 FOR 400: Terrible ideas. Excellent cause. 💙 Running Wild is taking on 24 hours of running and walking at Relay for Life, raising funds for Cancer Council and backing everyone affected by cancer.

But apparently, doing laps for 24 hours wasn’t quite enough. So we’ve added burpees. Because we make questionable decisions when left unsupervised.

For every $400 raised through this challenge, our team will complete a 400m lap of burpee broad jumps.

Yep. Four hundred metres of dropping to the ground, getting back up and jumping towards what will hopefully be the finish line. Expect heavy breathing, colourful language and some serious negotiations with our legs.

I’ll tackle the first two laps myself if we reach $800. Beyond that, I’ll be recruiting willing teammates to share the extra laps... friendship is about supporting each other through the stupid ideas, right? 😂

Between these laps of regret, we’ll keep running and walking throughout the event. Every donation, big or small, helps us towards the next $400 milestone and supports an incredible cause.
