We are a team of 10 teenage girls and close friends who are coming together for Relay For Life because cancer has touched the lives of so many people we love.

In Australia, around 134,000 people are diagnosed with cancer every year. For some of us it has been a family member, and for others a friend. We’ve grown up seeing the effect cancer can have, not only on the person fighting it, but on everyone around them. But we’ve also been blessed to have experienced the many ways people can come together for each-other, and to make a wider impact for others in Australia.

Taking part in Relay For Life is our way of doing something, however small, for those people. We’re walking to remember those we have lost, to support those who are still fighting, and to stand with the families and friends who have been beside them throughout it all. 

We know that a few laps around a track won’t change the world. But we hope that by showing up, walking together and raising money, we can contribute to something that might.
