Cancer doesn’t discriminate — it can hit anyone, anywhere, at any time. For me, this cause is deeply personal. I’m Joshua Wallace, director of Greater Western Mechanical, and last year I was diagnosed with bowel cancer.
Going through that battle changed my outlook on life. I experienced firsthand the strength it takes to fight, and the incredible support that organisations like the Cancer Council provide. That’s why our team is stepping up for Relay For Life — to give back, to honour those who’ve faced cancer, and to help make sure no one has to fight alone.
Every lap we walk represents a story — a survivor, a loved one, a moment of hope, and a reminder that together, we are stronger than cancer.
Funds raised through Relay For Life go directly toward vital cancer research, prevention, and support services for patients and their families.

In Australia, around 134,000 people are diagnosed with cancer every year. They could be our loved ones, our colleagues, or even ourselves. But we’re determined to make sure more people (and their families!) get the support they need.
To get there, our team are going the distance. We’re taking on the laps so Cancer Council can offer support services to families through one of the most difficult times of their lives.
