4th/3rd Battalion, Royal New South Wales Regiment – Team Introduction

The 4th/3rd Battalion, Royal New South Wales Regiment is a community-based Australian Army Reserve unit drawn from across southern Sydney, including the Sutherland Shire. Our soldiers are everyday Australians—family members, friends, and colleagues—who serve both their community and their country.

Like the community we represent, our unit has been impacted by cancer. Many of our members have seen its effects firsthand—through family, friends, and mates who have faced the fight, and in some cases, those we have lost. This is not a distant cause for us; it is personal.

Taking part in the Sutherland Shire Relay for Life 2026 is our way of standing alongside our community in that fight. It reflects the same values we uphold in service—commitment, resilience, and looking after our own. As soldiers, we are trained to protect the nation, but that responsibility begins with supporting the people within it.

We walk together to honour those affected, support those still fighting, and contribute to a cause that touches us all.
