Survivors & Carers
Relay For Life is a time for our community to come together and celebrate cancer survivors, remember those who are no longer with us and fight back against cancer.
If you or anyone you love has ever heard the words ‘you have cancer’, you know how much if affects us and the people around us. None should face cancer alone, so whether you’re a Survivor or Carer, getting involved in your local Relay For Life can introduce you to others who are facing similar challenges and create opportunities for sharing stories, friendship and hope.
To honour your inspiring journey, you’re invited to be our Guest of Honour at Relay For Life.
You can choose to walk in the Survivor and Carer’s Lap of Honour or just come along for the celebrations.
Our Communities would not be the same without you, and so to thank you - look for your invitation to the Survivors and Carers morning tea which will be held after the Opening Ceremony and first lap, at 11am Saturday 24 October in The Premiers Suite. We would be honoured if you could join us.
If you have any questions or are having difficulty registering, please contact Sarah via email: [email protected].
Under 18s
Parent or Guardian Consent
If you are under 18 years of age, you are required to complete the Youth Consent Form. This form is triggered within the registration process. You will need your parent/guardian available when registering to confirm consent and their email address. The consent form confirmation will be sent to your guardian.
All youth are required to have the consent of their parent/guardian. Failure to do so will result in the youth being unable to attend the Relay For Life event.
Youth Team Supervisors
All participants under 18 years of age are required to have a Supervisor over the age of 21 present with their team for the duration of the event.
West Coast Relay For Life registered youth teams must have 1 supervising adult in attendance for every 15 participants under 18years old, for the full duration of the event.
If we notice your team has a high number of participants under 18, (e.g. School teams) or your Team Captain is under 18 years old, we will reach out to you directly to talk through the specific requirements.
If you have any questions, please contact Teams Co-ordinators Helen Woodard and Jayne Hubbard via email [email protected]
