Launceston 2026

Celebrate. Remember. Fight Back. Relay For Life is more than a walk – it’s a chance to come together in the local Launceston community to celebrate cancer survivors, remember loved ones lost, and fight back against every cancer as we come together for every Tasmanian life. Relay For Life contributes to raising vital funds for Cancer Council Tasmania's research, prevention, and supportive care services which are offered free of charge to recipients. Relay offers a wonderful opportunity for the Launceston community to acknowledge and celebrate local cancer survivors, those going through a cancer experience and their caregivers, as well as pay tribute to loved ones lost and to raise money to help save more lives. Every dollar raised in Tasmania, stays in Tasmania! Be a part of the multitude of Australians who participate in the Cancer Council's Relay For Life every year and help pave the way to a cancer-free future. Sign up or join a team in the Launceston 2026 Relay today!

Youth Policy

The Cancer Council requires that every person under the age of 18 must have approval by a parent or guardian to register for and participate in Relay For Life events.

Youth Teams

Cancer Council Tasmania requires that teams where the majority of members are under 18 must have two registered adult supervisors present at all times throughout the Relay For Life event. Youth Team Supervisors must be over 21 years of age and are responsible for the behaviour and conduct of the youth they oversee.

Code of Conduct for Youth Teams

We want all participants to enjoy their Relay For Life experience. Common sense is key to everyone having a good time. This means considering and being respectful of the needs of other participants, abiding by the event rules and complying with all reasonable requests from members of the organising committee or Cancer Council Tasmania staff.

If you are a School Team, please contact [email protected]

Survivors and Carers

add remove

Relay For Life is a time for our community to come together and celebrate cancer survivors, remember those who are no longer with us and fight back against cancer.

If you or anyone you love has ever heard the words ‘you have cancer’, you know how much if affects us and the people around us. None should face cancer alone, so whether you’re a Survivor or Carer, getting involved in your local Relay For Life can introduce you to others who are facing similar challenges and create opportunities for sharing stories, friendship and hope.

To honour your inspiring journey, you’re invited to be our Guest of Honour at Relay For Life.

You can choose to walk in the Survivor and Carer’s Lap of Honour or just come along for the celebrations.

Our communities wouldn’t be the same without you, so thank you!

If you are having trouble registering, please contact our support team - 1300 65 65 85 | [email protected]
