Silent Auction
Looking for more ways to raise funds towards your team’s total? Get involved in our Silent Auction!
All you have to do is:
- Collect items to include in the auction by reaching out to local businesses to ask them to donate something special – it could be anything from an item, memorabilia or an experience.
- Bring your auction item to Adelaide Hills Relay For Life on Saturday and add them to our Silent Auction tables which can be found in the clubrooms.
- The highest bid on your Silent Auction item will go towards your team’s fundraising total – it’s that easy!
Our Silent Auction will run on Saturday of the event weekend, with items open for bidding from around 2.00 pm until 8.00 pm once we start Candlelight Ceremony.
Survivors & Carers
Survivors and Carers are an intergral part of any Relay For Life event. If you have been impacted by cancer personally or you are or have been a carer of someone impacted by cancer we would love to welcome you to the 2024 Adelaide Hills Relay For Life event.
To regsiter as a survivor or carer if you could arrive at approx 1.15 and regsiter at the registration desk. Once you regsiter you will be provided with a purple sash if you are a survivor or a white sash if you are a carer (or both if you are both). During our opening ceremony you will be announced and asked to make your way to the track behind the ribbon in readiness to walk the first lap.
Our opening ceremoney starts at 2pm and at the conclusion of that ceremony the ribbon is cut to start our event and then the first lap is walked by survivors of cancer or carers that have cared for people affected by cancer. You do not have to be participating in our event to be a part of the first lap and are more than welcome to attend just this part of the event.
After our first lap all teams will follow to walk the next lap together and all survivors and carers are asked to head to a special afetrnoon tea held in your honour to spend time together and with your loved ones.
Later on the Saturday evening we also hold a special candleight ceremony remembering loved ones lost with a special tribute video as well as having a guest speaker and a special candle lighting ceremony to recognise the past, present and future.
If you wish to add a photo to our tribute slideshow during the candlelight ceremony please send you photo with any details you feel comfortble to provide to
