Volunteer to be a Committee Member
Volunteers are the key in bringing together Relay For Life in their community. Without them, your local Relay simply could not happen.
All Relay For Life events are organised by a volunteer committee – both in the lead-up to the event and on the day. Our committees comprise of people from a broad cross-section of the local community, including business, health, media, marketing, tertiary students, parents, cancer Survivors and more. Committees are supported by the Cancer Council to stage their event but are also encouraged to add their own local touch. Committee members ensure everything is organised, from recruiting and motivating teams to planning the event.
Contact the Cancer Council in your state if you would like to join your local Relay for Life organising committee.
Helping out on the day
You can also volunteer to help out on the day – anything from registering participants to handling merchandise, or even helping transport people around.
