I relay because...

As most of you know, we've been relaying for a while.

It all started with Antoinette, our first Captain, wanting to give back after her battle with childhood cancer.

Mum's melanoma diagnosis in 2008 propelled us to keep going.

This will be our 15th relay and, although older, we keep marching on.

I want to make a difference and help get us closer to a cancer free future. Cancer is one of the leading causes of death in Australia, and together we can change that. Cancer Council’s Relay For Life raises funds for research, prevention and support services for those affected by cancer. By joining my team or donating to me, you will be helping Cancer Council give hope to thousands of Australians.

‘Twas the night before Relay 2023

‘Twas the night before Relay when all through the house, there was cooking and packing while power banks light up. 
Tomorrow is the day and we are all pumped to tackle relay 15 … training … what training?
Roster is a killer but we will prevail!!

Two weeks out ...

How can it be two weeks out?  Slack training is in full force ... ie no training at all.   Best find those waking shoes stat. 

One month before the big day

This fist day of autumn, a beautiful one at that, means that there's only a month before we have to be the AIS track bright eyed and bushy tailed to tackle 2023's Relay.
Best get to training then ... now where are those walking shoes?
